A brief History
Badachro, Highlands Region, Scottland. Founded in 2017
A Highland Spirit Reborn
Nestled in the coastal hamlet of Badachro, overlooking Badachro Bay, the distillery is built on a dream: to distil the wild soul of the Highlands into whisky, gin, vodka—and to let nature be part of the recipe. Founded by Gordon and Vanessa Quinn, Badachro wears its roots openly: local water, hand-picked botanicals, and small batches with craftsmanship at front and centre.
While the distillery is best known for its gin and vodka, it has increasingly turned toward whisky. Its “Bad na h-Achlaise” collection represents their whisky ambitions—a lightly peated single malt range with experimental finishes and limited releases. In a place where remote coast meets rugged hills, Badachro’s spirit is as much about place as it is about flavour.
Because it’s small scale, many of its whisky expressions come in limited editions—so when one hits shelves, it becomes a sought-after gem. But you’ll find traces of the Highlands in every bottling: brine, peat, orchard fruit, and a sense of raw openness.
