A brief History
Glenfarclas, Highland Region, Scotland. Founded in 1836
Old-School Sherry Casks and Highland Heart
There’s something comforting about Glenfarclas. It’s not trendy. It’s not flashy. And that’s exactly why it stands out. This is whisky made the way it’s always been — with big, bold flavours, proper copper stills, and the kind of patience only a family-owned business can afford.
Glenfarclas, which means “valley of the green grass” in Gaelic, has been producing whisky since 1836. But here’s the part that makes it special: it’s been in the hands of the same family — the Grants — since 1865. That makes it one of the last truly independent distilleries in Scotland.
Nestled in the heart of Speyside near Ballindalloch, Glenfarclas is best known for its rich, sherry-cask matured single malts — whiskies that are bold, nutty, full of fruit and spice, and just plain satisfying.

Long, warming, spicy finishes
