A brief History
Glenfiddich, Speyside Region, Scotland. Founded in 1867
Speyside Spirit, Independent Soul
Tucked into the wooded hills just outside Aberlour, GlenAllachie (pronounced Glen-Alla-key) is one of Speyside’s newer stars — even though it’s been around since 1967. For decades, it quietly produced whisky for blends. But in 2017, everything changed. And changed fast.
That’s when Billy Walker, former master of GlenDronach and BenRiach fame, took the helm. He didn’t just buy a distillery — he bought a canvas. And with that, GlenAllachie transformed from a behind-the-scenes blender’s workhorse into a flavour-packed single malt that’s making serious waves with whisky fans.
Today, GlenAllachie is known for its rich, bold, and sherry-forward style. It’s proudly independent, craft-driven, and not afraid to throw some big flavours your way. If you love cask strength releases, sherry bombs, or single casks with attitude, you’ll find plenty to love here.
Flavour Profile: Smooth, Fruity, and Seriously Versatile
