James Sedgwick Distillery is located in Wellington, in South Africa’s Western Cape. It was established in the late 19th century and later consolidated into a single production site in 1991.

The distillery is owned by Distell (now part of Heineken Beverages) and is the primary producer of South African whisky. It has played a central role in developing South Africa as a recognised whisky-producing nation.
