Everything you need to know about Roseisle Distillery

A brief History
Roseisle, Speyside Region, Scotland. Founded in 2010.
Roseisle Distillery is one of the most modern and efficient whisky distilleries in Scotland. It sits on the Moray coast in Speyside, near Burghead, and was opened in 2010 by Diageo.
Unlike many traditional distilleries that have grown gradually over time, Roseisle was designed from the ground up as a large-scale production site. The aim was simple: produce high-quality malt whisky in a consistent and efficient way to support some of the world’s biggest blended Scotch brands.
Because of that role, Roseisle has spent most of its life working behind the scenes. You won’t see its name on shelves very often. However, in recent years, a few limited single malt releases have started to appear, giving people a glimpse of what the distillery can do on its own.
It’s a very different kind of distillery — less about heritage buildings, more about modern whisky-making at scale.

Roseisle produces a clean and versatile Speyside-style spirit. Expect soft fruit notes like apple and pear, combined with honey sweetness and a light malty backbone.
Because the distillery is designed to support blending, the spirit is made to be adaptable. It can be matured in different cask types to bring out various characteristics, from lighter and fresher profiles to richer, oak-driven styles.
