Sazerac Rye Whiskey is an American rye whiskey brand closely associated with New Orleans cocktail culture. The whiskey takes its name from the Sazerac cocktail, one of the oldest known American cocktails, which originated in New Orleans during the 19th century.

The Sazerac cocktail was originally made using French brandy, but rye whiskey eventually became the standard base spirit. The Sazerac Company later revived and popularised the whiskey brand as a dedicated rye whiskey designed to recreate the traditional cocktail.

Today the whiskey is produced at Buffalo Trace Distillery in Kentucky.
