Adelphi Whisky
Adelphi whisky is a well respected independent bottler, celebrated for their commitment to showcasing the unique characteristics of each whisky. As of 2020, they run one of the greenest distilleries in the world, using local raw materials to create beautiful, natural whiskies. They offer cask strength bottles, with no colouring or chill-filtration, for a strikingly unadulterated tipple.
Adelphi Blended Whisky
We are honoured to supply a limited range of Adelphi blended whisky up to 12 years old. The sweet, flowery taste pairs well with seasoned prawns, seared scallops and smoked salmon, which will perfectly balance the flavours.
Adelphi blended whisky would not exist without the Loch Katrine Adelphi distillery founded in 1826. It became a household name in the 1880s when the owners changed and new technology was installed. Unfortunately, the building was demolished in 1971.
However, in 1993, the Adelphi name was revived as an independent bottler, making limited, high-quality malt whisky. Connoisseurs from across the world were impressed with its maturation process in rare casks, facilitating a new distillery opened in 2014.
Due to its maturation process, Adelphi whisky offers flavours no other producer does. For example, the distillery only accepts 4% of casks offered. This makes for a rare bottle with a unique character.
There are two Adelphi distilleries located in Scotland. You can find one in the village of Charlestown in the city of Dunfermline, and the other in the village of Acharacle in Argyll county.
We recommend drinking Adelphi whisky neat if you prefer strong flavours. For a lighter flavour, add ice or a few drops of water.
