25-years whisky provides an exceptional taste, no matter the distillery. The flavours from the cask and production process blend together well, creating a harmonious flavour profile. Each decade adds a new flavour to the whisky, such as:

25-Year Whisky: Dried fruits with nutty notes, hints of wood and spice

30-Year Whisky: Rich with vanilla and spice, oaky notes

40-Year Whisky: Sweet with malty or floral notes, hints of spice and fruit

50-Year Whisky: Extremely woody with hints of zesty fruit and sweet vanilla

What Makes a 25-Year-Old Whisky Special?

25-year-old whisky is often described as ‘peak maturity.’ Not only is it impacted by the flavour of the cask, but the original ingredients have time to mix, providing the perfect sweet-and-salty balance.

How Should I Serve a 25-Year-Old Whisky?

We recommend serving stronger whisky with ice or a splash of water to soften the flavour. You can also serve it with chocolate and fresh fruit. However, it can also be served neat if you prefer stronger whiskies.

Can I Mix a 25-Year-Old Whisky in a Cocktail?

While we recommend pairing younger whiskies with other beverages, you can also mix 25-year-old whisky in a cocktail. However, stronger whisky has less flavour in cocktails and won't be as sweet as what you might expect.

How Do I Choose the Right 25-Year-Old Whisky as a Gift?
