Kilchoman Whisky

Situated on the rugged shores of Islay, Kilchoman distillery is the island's only single farm distillery and one of Scotland's smallest. Established in 2005, Kilchoman whisky aims to revive Scotland’s tradition of farm distilling, growing barley in the fields around the distillery and bottling on site. Their exceptional drams are characterised by bold peat and citrus flavours.

Kilchoman Scotch Whisky

We supply a range of Kilchoman scotch whisky aged up to 18 years. This brand offers a well-balanced flavour profile of vanilla, fruit and a hint of smoke. Paired with sweet citrus fruit, this afternoon treat is just what you need after a hard day of work.

Kilchoman scotch whisky is produced using a rare, traditional method called floor malting. The barley is soaked in water before being laid on the concrete floor and regularly turned by hand. After one month, the whisky is finally ready to be matured in bourbon barrels and sherry butts from the USA and Spain.

What does the name "Kilchoman" mean?

The Kilchoman distillery was named after the stunning Machir Bay beach on the Western coast of Islay. You may have noticed several bottles inspired by the beach too.

How can I best experience Kilchoman whisky?

Kilchoman whisky is best served neat without the involvement of ice, water or mixers. We recommend a smoked salmon dinner or a light snack of almonds, cheese and chocolate.

How can I find rare Kilchoman whiskies?

You can find limited edition Kilchoman whisky by visiting our Old and Rare Whisky page. Rare Kilchoman whiskies are hard to come by, so we recommend checking back often.
